Model 10-11, no lock. I may get the barrel cut to 2 1/2" at some point.

30 years ago, the Model 10 was the most recommended handgun for people looking for a reliable, first time handgun. Like the Glock 19 is now. I should have picked up two, but I'm looking at another Colt right now.

I haven't looked up the year yet. The -11s were 1997 and later, and since there's no lock, it's pre-2002. However, mine has a heavy barrel, so it should be a 10-12, according to Wikipedia.

One other thing, the grips are laminate. I don't think I've seen that option on a factory grip before.

The rust spots are getting to me on this. I'm thinking of getting it ceracoated tactical black after I get the barrel shortened. This has be carried more than shot by the security company, it's going to carry on that way with me. Although electric blue may look better. This revolver was with a batch of security company trade ins, that may be a tracking code. I'll ask next time I'm at that shop.
