Just got this one today, pretty nice Nazi jhv '41, Hungarian Femaru P37 with a correct holster. I had been keeping my eye out for a nice early variation and this one came along and fit the bill. This one has the slide legend "Pistole M 37 Kal 7,65mm" which is one of a few different early legends used for a short time before being switched to "P. Mod. 37 Kal 7,65" which appeared throughout the rest of the 41 and 43 contract. Pistol has matching parts and no import marks.
It came with two correct P.Mod.37 marked mags, but interestingly they are not numbered, and the mags typically are numbered to the gun with these. If anyone has any info on the unnumbered mags please let me know....I have read several different opinions on these, one that they were armorer's replacement mags, another one supposedly the first few hundred 43 contract guns had unnumbered mags, and I've also read that they stopped numbering mags late in the 43 contract. Either way I'm surprised that this one ended up with two that are unnumbered as they seem to be pretty hard to come by. Anyone have any solid info?
The holster is a Luftwaffe 1942 jsd code (Gustav Reinhardt, Lederwarenfabrik, Berlin).
