Now he is closed. Has been for about 3 months. Collection letters plastered on his door from 2 different companies and the phone is disconnected. I assume he will not be reopening even though there was a note on the door saying they are replenishing stock and to expect a the doors to open in september.

I am not holding my breath.

Dad and I went there one time. Someone pulled up when we were in the store and he pulled his handgun and walked around nervously. He stated that the guy had sold him and illeagal firearm of some sort. He was kinda strange. Website still up though.

I did some business with him. Bought a few things. He "helped" me out and enlisted the services of my business. He never paid a single invoice. I know I got off better than several other the other companies he stood up.

In never thought it went as deep as him not following the ATF guidelines etc.

SHould I be concerned about the paperwork on my hand gun purchese?

I had a SS Ruger SBH that I had customized myself. Bisley grip frame, grips, shortened barrel to 6", trigger/action work, bead blast finish, etc. Traded it towards something else at Dave's Sport Shop a few years ago when I worked there.

First time I walked into Tod's, there it was in the case. Asked to see it and confirmed by serial number it was the same one. Before I could start to tell him the story and that it was neat to see it again, he started bragging about all the work HE had done to it himself and all the money and time he spent to do the custom work. Really?!?! Found all I needed to know about his true character right there.

Too bad, I passed the store this weekend while visiting family in DE and wanted to stop in but they were closed. Now I see why.
