  • Sad day for me to moving back to MD... but alas my career makes it necessary. Used to live in Rockville and grew up in DC so I'm used to the area. Very sad to have to let go of my AR though.

Hoping to contribute to the forum! Thank you for having me

My first move is ditching my AR for a Colt 6721 HBAR

Did you own it prior to 10/1/13? If so I think all you have to do is tell the bastards that you have it (Register :mad54:)

Funny thing is I'm actually still working in PA, but must move so my wife and I can still live together with our differing work locations. Such temptation to get a little apt there to maintain proper residency, but it's not in the cards.

Colt 6721 HBAR is 100% legal correct? That is my interpretation of the forums and the law (I still don't get what a "Colt Sporter HBAR" is as there seem to be many variations. Just didn't know if it must have a 20inch barrel and fixed stock to constitute a copy of the rifle referenced in the legislation)

that sucks, K31 may have some advice that could help your situation:innocent0

As far as what is and isn't and HBAR, MSP seems to define it as a barrel that does not reduce the diameter under the guards or in front of a standard .750" or larger gas block, no length restriction outside of NFA and OAL rules.

So sorry to hear and you have my condolences. Just keep this in mind...as bad as MD is, the dems are actively trying to make it worse!

    Love the screen name

You poor bastard....you get out and they drag you back in.

yep.... managed to escape rockville only to come right back! Never lived in baltimore before but glad I won't be getting annihilated by taxes in montgomery county. we shall see if baltimore is better

I should be able to move to South Carolina or Florida in 2 years though, so its not too bad. That is highly dependent upon my performance on my job though so I have to work for my freedom haha
