The mag pouch is Galco; I bought it used from a member on another forum.

    I am really, really happy...

I like how the snap wraps around the rear of the frame. My belt holster has the snap real high making it print pretty bad.

Once I got used to where it was, it's really easy to unsnap with my thumb while drawing, too.

It's more natural than I thought it would be and, as you say, more concealable (even though I live in MD and that's not an option....YET).

Is this a RIA 1911A1? Does hammer have to remain cocked as it looks to be in picture?

    It is an RIA 1911A1.

The 1911 is designed to be carried in Condition 1, which is cocked and locked, so the holster is designed to accommodate a cocked hammer. That said, I haven't tried the thumb break with the hammer down.

It's a nice feeling having the right holster. I carry a Smith and Wesson Model 10 4 incher. The holster I have sits really high and has a strong cant. It doesn't work for some folks, but it works for me. It's a S&W holster as well. Figured as long as I had the gun, I might as well have a S&W holster.

Nope, there's nothing like the right holster. It's a high-ride holster, but no extreme cant.

    It's really, really comfortable.

Do you happen to own a bar?
