400rds, runs perfect. Excellent firearm for its intended purpose. Not the best defense for Moose.

Any other thoughts on this gun? I'm looking for a pocket gun and am considering the LCP Max. Curious how this gun fires, recoil, sights, etc. Lost faith in the .380 in the past but given how hot its been this summer really being looking for a good pocket carry.

Still absolutely love mine. Just put another 200 rounds through it two weeks ago. 150 reman FMJ, 50 defensive loads, all flawless.

Offer still stands to come shoot mine anytime.

Is it snappy? Realize that's a relative question, btw. Issue seems to plague some of the smaller .380s. Also, if you mind me asking, where are you getting the .380 ammo?

I love mine. The only thing I changed on it was I added a Galloway trigger which made it feel more comfortable and gave it a better reset and I put magguts springs in the mags which gave me one extra round.

I painted the front sight day glo orange and it works like a champ. I don't feel that this is snappy compared to my Kel Tec P3AT which was almost the same as the Ruger LCP.

I'm very happy with it's accuracy and the fact that it hasn't failed once.

Thanks John. How hard was it to install the Galloway?

I'll have to pick one up, thanks for the detailed review.

Still happy with mine, it’s #2 behind my P365 in my carry options. Not as snappy as the LCP or LCP II which are all manageable. Sights are a night and day difference over the original two models.

That's what everyone always said about the LCP/LCP II....snappy lil guy for what it is. I don't have a problem with recoil - love shooting big bore revolvers....but you get that little .380 into a 2 bit piece of plastic....wow, lol. Glad to hear it performs better in the Max.

Hardest part about the originals was lack of finger real estate. I found practicing one handed or weak handed a little challenging compared to some with more grip. The MAX is slightly thicker and slightly longer bit noticeable if you shoot back to back with an original or II.

The Sig P365-380 was approved at the the June 15th Handgun Roster Board Meeting. It will be available in Maryland around July 31, 2022. The Sig P365-380 is of high-quality construction and has a soft recoil impulse. Softer then the LCP MAX 380. Tested one in West Virginia a week ago. I was pleasantly surprised with the low recoil and accuracy. I fired 150 rounds, including a 20 round box of Federal 99 grain, HydraShok Deep.

June 17-24 BattleHawk Armory (rock solid vendor) had the Max on sale for $309 and seeing this thread now I regret not posting it up. Mea culpa as they’re back up to $380 there, now.

Smokin’ Guns has ‘em for $316 and they too are solid folk (small brick and mortar in small town VA but, they are middleman between web and the “warehouse universe” and I have had some stuff fall through the proverbial crack with them so, no matter what hour you order, get the guy at Smokin on the phone the very next reg business hour …

The 365 otoh, may be the subject of some future “Special” but, it ain’t today!

Dang! I'll have to add that to my list then to evaluate vs the LCP Max. Did you fire the Max and the P365 around the same time? Think its interesting you cite a lower recoil impulse, which is what I'd want for accuracy. I don't have an issue spending a little more money if its worth it. I think Sig makes some great firemans...the engineering quality is there.

Look at this option, think it would work in a P365 holster in a cargo pocket?

I have ~350 though mine, 100% flawless. Carry it in only certain, limited circumstances when something larger is not an option. I don’t pocket carry. Good luck

Through what, the LCP Max? I usually wear cargo shorts/pants, so pocket size isn't an issue. Given this damn heat we are having figured going back to a pocket gun is a good idea. Particularly when I'm out fishing.
