Unfortunately that's not working for the HQL nor any of the other BS that gets shoved down our throats.

this was bound to come up especially since the NFA tax stamp has yet to be challenged. of course LEO's would be exempt from paying this. The power to tax an enumerated right is about to come front and center to firearms ownership battle. this should be bigger than guns. the right of the government to punitively tax things it does not agree with or wants to banish is a practice that needs to be stopped. It needs to start with some sort of action possibly even pursuing an amendment (very high bar) not allowing punitive taxes and not allowing the government or officials to be exempt from these things

Good luck but here comes the new front

Can you imagine a tax on free speech? Or a free speech license?

Do you mean like how New York is pursuing legal action against Exon Mobile for the statements it has made contrary to Climate Change. I know it isn't specifically a "tax" but the legal fees I'm sure are going to get pretty expensive.

Lets propose a high tax on poor people, the homeless, and illegals. A high enough tax should also eliminate those "problems".:sarcasm:

This is a good point. As much as we all care about guns, this is bigger than that. If this became law, a precedent of taxing and deincentivinzing "unpleasant" or "unwanted" aspects of society would be established. And THAT is a scary idea. And even scarier considering that government workers wouldn't be subjected to the debilitating taxes. Sound like Soviet Russia? I like my Mosin, but not Soviet politics and lifestyles.
