Depends who you ask. SLD wasn’t even a thing until the retirees started moving in droves. Hell, there were different accents in Sussex County. Remember my dad going to “tha eyester et down at that farhall” and I went to school with kids from “Gumburr” and “Millsberr.”
Don't forget Dagsberr. It's been a thing for a long time. People I know that grew up in that area have been saying it since at least 2000 which is the first time I heard it, and it probably predates that. I think it may just be the lower eastern part though, maybe not as far north as Georgetown and not as far west as Delmar. I was just there in Frankford this weekend.

Georgetown is now pronounced "Jorgetown" by a lot of the new residents

Old Eastern Shore Accents x Spanglish = WTF did you say?

    I'm Bi-Shoral now.

I split my time between Severn and Lewes these days until I dispose of the Severn house and transfer the flag to Lewes.

Sure Delaware Sucks but the it does suck 6% less than Maryland plus No Income or Property/School tax on retirees

If Sussex and Kent counties are great, it's Wilmington and New Castle that create the Suck.

No different for folks in MDES, SOMD or WMD dealing with Annapolis, Baltimore, Howard, PG and especially Monkey County

"...plus No Income or Property/School tax on retirees" Well, I think you need to be a resident for 10 years and a senior to escape the school tax now. Everybody pays the property tax. Even worse with the property tax, due to a law suit, all properties are being revalued. Some properties haven't be revalued in over 30 years. Big shock coming for some folks.

Move the flag as soon as you can.

At one point, below the canal was LSD…. Then NC/k line… then below dover.

Seems all that /those went out long ago. It does seem the K/S line has been the boundary for a couple decades….

Unless a person is tax exempt from the IRS and state tax due to low income they only have to pay a ditch tax. Everyone else is paying state tax, property tax and school tax. You get a reduced rate if you are either 65 or 66 ,can't remember, only on property and school tax. If you rent you only pay state tax.
