    i just bought my wife a rem 770 as her first rifle for her hunting trips with her bro and dad she was using her gf old 280 and figured its time to get her one of her own but im kinda limited on funds currently ive read mixed reviews figured id ask here Thanks.

    I have one. Got the trigger worked on and now it shoots like a champ. Only problem is that synthetic stock kicks like a mule. I would recommend a recoil reducer or a limbsaver if your wife isn't used to the recoil.

    I have one in 270 as well. Make sure to clean and re-grease it good.

    You may notice that the bolt is a little rough to operate at first. Just work it for a while with rem oil and things will start to smooth out.

    It's not a Rem 700 by any means, but good for the price. :thumbsup:

    heh shes happy with as thus far as per looks and feel bolts not to bad i know as its clean and used a bit will ease up but not to bad. never seen in od green so we got it ive seen mixed reviews but i mean for a cheap first rifle not to bad. regardless of what others said we would keep just wanted to see some other peoples opinions on it which i greatly appreciate will upgrade later when money allows :) Thanks again

    Kstone : what kind of work did you have done on the trigger?

    The stick trigger that came with it had the grittiest 10 lb pull ever, so I took it to my uncles gusmith in PA. Not sure on specifics of what he did/installed but it now is as short and crisp as anything I else I have in the safe. I can get his name and number if you want it.
