Hi all Ed here from Cecil county. Happened to find the site while searching for information about getting an AR right when all of this hype started and am sure glad I found it. Lots of valuable information here and a ton of very knowledgable guy here whom I hope to learn much from! Right now I own a sig 226 .40, 870 and my wife just bought me a 10/22 for Christmas which I swapped out the barrel and stock about 10 mins after opening on Christmas morning.

I have a question and was not are where to post it so I thought I'd do it here also. I am looking into possible ordering a DD rifle, now do I need to notify a Ffl local before ordering or can I just enter his info when ordering the gun? First time ordering a gun an using a Ffl. Thanks everyone!

Just enter it while ordering. Ther are some small (no shop) guys around you that are easy to deal with. One in Fair Hill, vast majority of his business is transfers from online sales.

I've been threatening a DD myself, the wife still thinks I'm joking, so, "no go" yet.....

Lol yeah I had a colt in my hands for 1200 about 3 days before Christmas but kept thinking about gettig the m&p sport instead to save a couple hundred.

So if I end up ordering one should I just call the ffl after ordering to let them know a firearm is on the way to them?

Yeah, but I think you'll need their basic info to input when ordering.
