Name is Bobby, not really a newbie to firearms or shooting really. Grew up hunting with my father but got out of it. Moved in with my brother a few months ago and he's been shooting for awhile and built his ar, didn't take long before I decided to build an ar. Did some reading and with a little guidance from him and plenty of trips to the range we got our parts together and I put it together in no time at all. Surprised at how easy everything is really and why more people aren't building them themselves.
Here's my parts list:
Palmetto stripped lower receiver
Cmmg lower parts kit
spikes tactical bolt carrier group (full auto)
spikes tactical upper
m16 chrome lined barrel
yankee hill front and rear sights
low profile gas block
mid length quad rail (generic, the only thing I went "cheap on")
acs magpul stock
magpul angled fore grip
mil spec buffer tube
troy medieval flash suppressor
magpul 30 round magazine (1 for now)
pics for clicks
The last few shots are just mock ups, currently I have to get the fixed front sight off and I'm also looking at picking up the Stark grip for it, need a trim ring for the rail system and should be ready to go.
The only issue which really isnt one is the bolt catch. Its just a little loose and exagerated with the B.A.D. lever. So I'm gonna pick up another bolt catch assembly and try that out. Everything is functional though.
Also a VW nut as well.
