Question to all my NFA weapon veterans.Do I need to notify ATF if I want to shoot my cans at the NRA range in VA., but the cans are registered in Md.where I reside?

No, cans don't require a 5320 to transport.

SBR = Short barrelled Rifle ($200)
SBS = Short Barelled Shotgun ($200)
AOW = Any Other Weapon ($5)

Suppressors, and AOW's do not require a 5320.20 to transport across state lines. SBR, SBS, and machineguns do require one. You can have them approved for a year at a time ie 01 JUL 2011 - 30 JUN 2012

go to www.titleii.com they have the tranbsport out of state papers for sbr. it takes like 2 weeks to receive a reply, but it is good for 1 year.
