Nice looking pistol. This one is nice too if people are not afraid carrying it locked and cocked.

My Kahr K40 one in the chamber all the time and no safety. MY new kimber locked and cocked just have to get use to the safety. It has been a minute since I have used 1911 rig.

Agreed - If you've carried a 1911, this one, like the Kimber Micro 9, is not going to be a stranger. Cocked and locked is not unsafe. I have this particular gun and really like it. Excellent accuracy and the grip fits the hand well for the size. It's not really pocketable in the sense that the OP gun is, but it is very compact and very concealable.

I like what S&W has done with the CSX. Kind of a smaller Springfield Ronin EMP 9mm . Saw a good quote recently. "The purpose of a self-defense gun is to get you out of trouble and not to engage you in a gunfight".

The only way, IMO, that they could've done it better was if they went DA/SA with it. Outside the 1911 inspiration, but would love to see if it could actually be done in that size.

Not to say that anyone else has this problem with 1911 style micro pistols.

Having both the Sig 238 and 938 I can tell you that after CCing one of them in my pocket I would occasionally find the thumb safety slipping into the fire position. That being said I relegated them to OWB carry.

I'm a 1911 "NUT". I also carry the SIG P238 in the summer and the Springfield 3" EMP 9mm in the winter, all OWB. Pocket carry is just so foreign to me and just doesn't feel natural. Besides it does not provide for a fast draw and if you are seated..........forgetaboutit.

    Good deal?

Yep, I have some friends looking for them and the cheapest I could find was $230.

    Yes .

Traditionally Dbk competed head to head with SCCY , but of late we're seeing some blowout pricing on Dbk , while SCCY is following the overall economy inflation .

If I had to guess . Dbk and distributors thereof are blowing out inventory in anticipation of a new model introduction ?

The only new model they introduced is a Birdshead .22 DA revolver. They already had a 4 inch DA .22 revolver so they expanded on that line.

How SCCY and Dbk make them so cheap? I feel like shopping for pots and pans at Walmart.

I think that computer design programs and MIM casting equipment must have come down in price so that a small company can afford it. Additionally, Diamondback is in FL which is cheaper to operate in than Northern States.

I figured I would stay with the original thread for an update.

I just passed 2500 rounds on the Diamondback DB9 Gen4. It is still running like a clock and accuracy is still exceptional. I did make one change, I installed XS sights and it is a game changer.

I changed out the original sights after I shot it awhile and installed Ameriglo sights with a Orange night front sight. I felt that was better than the original but the orange wasn't as bright as I expected.

Last month I started looking into XS sights and found that not only do they have large orange or green dots, the dots are the type of material that absorbs light. This makes the sight really stand out in the daytime and, even though it has the Tritium vial, it glows brighter in the dark as well.

I blasted off 30 rounds today and have no problem obtaining a 2 inch group at 10 yards. If you have never used an XS sight before, you may think it is hard to use. It is not and you can get used to it very easily through regular practice.

This is the sight set I have and it is much brighter in person.
