No firearms for permit holders and not even pocket knives...but they'll provide axes for you to throw...:rolleye12

Honestly, I probably hadn't planned on going anyway...but this makes it an even easier pass. I'll probably go to Mission for lunch on Saturday ;)

I can't seem to share the actual posts, but they can be found here:
(or not?...maybe? I can't tell. Jeez...I feel like a certain beloved member (with a magnum calibered Sasquatch name) trying to figure out Facebook right now :banghead: ).

I mean I'm not going but now I kind of want to

Patronizing ass Bel Air PD. All they do is stalk Looneys for drunks and write cheap traffic tickets. I wouldn't want to depend on any of them in a pinch.

Same with Aberdeen. Our SRO was a frail old woman who you could've knocked over with a stiff wind.

They said they would be "screening checks at entrances" I didn't realize there were "entrances." I thought it was kinda the whole block.

I wish I had saved up for that Glock 7...

It's all up and down Bond Street in the town of Bel Air. Roads and sidewalks aren't private property
In that case public is public. Maybe it’s one of those empty threats so the organizers can say they ‘tried’ to influence people not to bring guns. It’s dumb; sounds like trying to make more gun free zones.

Now does anyone know if temporary permits can make an area not public for some purpose. Like is done for work zones? Temporary Ordinance?

    Here is the organizer

While FB post may not have backing of law it would be interesting to see if a sign put up by local PD has force of law.

Looks like they will cordoned/partitioned off areas that will controlled entrances with security. Mainly Activiites and Event Central areas.

    What's the draw for this?
Is it the traffic, crowds, long lines, greasy BBQ, drunks throwing axes?

    Must be missing something . . .

Sounds like the kind of thing I'd have loved in my twenties and hate now. No thanks. No desire to be in a crowd, especially without protection.
