Title says it all. NPR's show 1A is covering ARs tomorrow. They want to know if you own one, and why. What made you choose that model? Do you use it for home defense? Plinking? In short, they are trying to understand why the AR is the most popular rifle platform in the nation.
It's just going to be a hit piece, you say? No argument there. Feel free to move on to the next post. The point is, if the average NPR listener is the only one who calls in, the pro-2A crowd has zero voice. The fight must be taken to the den of the gun-grabbers. They aren't coming here to be swayed with reason. It appears that they are taking opinions via phone. You can call in at

The show is tomorrow mid-day, so call in today for the best chance to get your opinion heard. Feel free to remind them that the muskets used in the founding of our nation were equal to what the opposing army had, so the precedent for civilians having "military grade weapons" (even if the AR is not) is well established.
Edit: Updated contact info.
