Did you just compare gun ownership (to keep) and carrying (to bear) which is a right protected by the 2nd amendment to driving a car/insurance on a public road? (A privilege, not a right).

What's next? You think someone should have to get a license and training (ie permission from the government) to pray? Vote?
You do know that post was almost 3 years ago and posted before the SCOTUS decision, right?

Carry permits should be treated like a driver's license in regards to national reciprocity.
2A *is* the permit. Requiring permits is well, blatantly unconstitutional. But no worry..I've long ago gave up convincing the sheeple not to give up their rights. You do you, it's all good.

And yet you can't see the things I left unsaid due to being blinded by the "MAH RIGHT" mentality.

You have to start somewhere, and considering how many states have gone ConCarry, you may want to dial back the fire, buddy. The war rages on, so it's better to not blow your wad so early.

Got it - at stake was where and when New Yorkers could exercise their 2A rights?

This particular request for relief from the plaintiffs was regarding NY's new ammo background check and NY taking over the entire NICS background check process (they are now the middleman for NICS checks and the FFLs aren't allowed to contact NICS directly) that recently went into effect. People were hoping that SCOTUS might address the entirety of NY's anti-2A bill and not just the background check stuff.

as noted on the FPC/hawaii twit feeds today, Mr George young has passed. He fought the state of Hawaii for about 10 years to get his permit. His case was one of those effected by bruen and shall issue. It doesn’t epdlicitly say if he received his permit.

and THEY did their best to drag his case out so he woild pass before they had to issue.

    be at peace mr young
