I joined MDS back in 2007 and have been lurking on here since then, but this is my first time posting. In light of all of the recent positive 2A events, I figure now is a good time to become a more verbally (or textually) active member. Besides, I need to get my post count up so I can see whats been happening in the "watercooler" section since it got locked down

Thanks for the welcome - I just figured I'd hang out for 5 years or so and learn from people more knowlegeable than me
This site has been a great resource though in helping me stay on top of current 2A issues and Industry Partner specials, so I want especially thank all of the mods and admins for keeping MDS running strong!

Wow, I didn't know these accounts got purged - finally I get some good luck in keeping my account alive

The parameters for purging have been those new accounts that were not confirmed via email notification within 1000 days.

If someone simply clicked on the link that confirmed that there was a real person at that email address, they would not be caught up in that purge.
