I bought my daughter a Cricket the other day and it will be her first gun. She likes pink but purple is her favorite color. I was going to just paint the stock purple but her brothers convinced me to try Zebra stripes.

Well, here's my first attempt on custom color for my daughters gun. Let me know what you think...

Nice! My daughter's first gun was the same exact one.
    What did you use?

EDIT: Just showed it to my 11 year old and she loved it!

Home Depot has Rustoleum Extra Cover in Grape that works on plastic. Then a few strips of masking tape. I did it the hard way and printed a Zebra pattern out that was online then traced it onto masking tape that I overlapped into an 8x10 piece and cut it out and stuck it to the stock.

In retrospect, I guess I could have just ripped the masking tape into strips like on YouTube but I didn't want the ragged edges. Unfortunately there was some seepage under the edge of the tape.

That looks pretty wild! Lucky daughter!:thumbsup:

My daughter's first gun was a Crickett too. It's pretty easy to pull the trigger out and polish it up a bit, makes quite a bit of difference, and she'll shoot it that much better.

While we're talking plastic paint, there is a primer for plastic, that once applied, allows you to paint the plastic with any spray paint that you want. I used it on my CZ82 grips. I wanted a color not available in the "plastic paints" so I went that route, and it worked and has held up well.

Thanks everyone for the props. The ultimate test will be my daughter. That will have to wait since my wife says not until Easter. EASTER?!!!! It's killing me having this thing ready to go and having to wait. I am very impatient when it comes to things like this and I don't know if I can wait that long.:tantrum:
