Petition to Have President Address the Firearms Violence Report

Upsetting when you already see some in in the media trying to tie gun control to the trayvon martin case. Now more than ever we need to call for these facts to be seen. We need 38 signatures to get this up on the main whitehouse page.

A Democratic administration in charge of "mental health reform" is as bad, if not WORSE, than outright gun control.

These are people who think there is something mentally wrong with ANYONE who wants to own a gun. And now you want them to make POLICY for mental health?

Let me remind everyone that there is a department in Baltimore County called the "Department of Mental Health". It only recently changed its name to this...it used to be the "Department of Behavior Modification". Mull that over in your heads for a little while before you start insisting that the government form a "Ministry of Truth" to start making laws related to mental health.

It WILL be 2A infringement, regardless of what flag it flies.

No where does this call for a Ministry of mental health...This is to actually address the underlying issue of suicide and mental health issues....the facts...take the time to get the report and read it....its being buried and facts need to be addressed. This petition isnt going to get them to create the Secretary of Homeland Mental Health. But it might actually get them to admit the facts.

If i remember this was the same place that called to protest SB281 which was railroaded through on speculation not facts. Its to bad this CDC report hadn't come back when SB281 was flying through this state.

So attempting to get them to admit that suicide is the problem and will be whether there is guns or not is an issue? Baltimore county is not what we are addressing, its the CDC report that has since JUNE 5th wont even be talked about by this administration. Why? The facts prove what this side on the Gun control debate has been saying all along. God Forbid we do things legally and attempt to force their hand and inform the American public what we already know. And there already is huge policies for mental health that are a mess....veterans losing the right to own firearms daily because of a flawed system and no ability to get the VA to allow proper appeals on PTSD and other mental health. You think this will cause problems..I see it causing solutions....Cant fix something if no one will talk about it

The funny part is the report seems to say Guns are good at this stage....more used defensively to stop crime...more often to save a life if one is present....this report is amazing but will get buried and never addressed if something isn't done about it.

I expect he'll try to spin this 10 ways to sunday. He has come on tv with his veiled comments toward gun control and the Zimmerman case. Might as well make him address this report and the facts. Why let him not even address the existence of the study he mandqted happen. Maybe more of the "uneducated" will see what it actually says.

This president nor anyone will use children or any death as political capitol with lies. The next steps starts this week. Its still available for signatures...We need many...
