Police Shooting in Salisbury - one dead

I find remarkable that folks who've most likely never been shot at and most probably have never shot at anyone else, are quick to post (anonymously) that the LEO either over reacted or should have shot to wound. No one I know of trains or is trained to do anything but shoot to kill. If you make the commitment to engage with deadly force, you do not do so with any intent other than to kill the person. Dumb ass, over opinionated schmucks.

God bless the LEO. Hope he's able to deal with the outcome. Good training and clear purpose have no competitor if you work in the trade.

Shooting to wound...

The proper terminology is shoot to incapacitate. If you have to fire a weapon at someone, you can wound him and see how that works for ya. After you wound the guy, you still gotta get close enough to handcuff him. Like he's gonna change his mind about killing you AFTER you piss him off by wounding him.
