Hey guys,
I know this is Political in nature, and should probably be in the National or MD 2A section, but some days i dont get on that thread and just stop by the reloading thread, so i figured i would start here as it would effect the members who check this thread the most.
It looks like some of the countries legislatures are attempting to pass a bill regulating the sale of smokeless and black powder in order to try and prevent people from producing explosive devices in the home. I assume it to be feel good legislation that is fall out from boston.
The bill, S. 792 can be found below:
http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-113s792is/pdf/BILLS-113s792is.pdf
and is titled: S. 792 - To strengthen the enforcement of background checks with respect to the use of explosive materials.
Most of it looks to me (im no law maker), to be in relation with being convicted of certain domestic and violent crimes. Which makes some sense i suppose, but there is talk of requiring people to apply for a permit which would have a fee associated with it and that is the part that grinds my gears. So all that said, i think im going to start writing some letters. Im curious to see what your alls thoughts are as well as i havent seen much in regard to this particular bill on MDShooters, correct me if i have missed something. You guys have any thoughts on all this?
