Puma knives, as a company, is over 250 years old.Never heard of them til I pulled these three out of a storage locker. They seem nicely made and aren't cheap online. Anyone heard of them?
This. I had a Puma hunting knife with bone handle for years. Strong and sharp.Great knives. Especially the German made ones
Large one says Puma with the same logo. I'll pull the model numbers when I get time. They are very solid knives. I've had my 960 Cub for almost 40 years. Handmade in Germany in 1985. Back then they Rockwell tested each knife. The mark is on the opposite of the blade View attachment 451447
The large knife is likely not a Puma. Not at all like the link Hector posted just based on handle design.
Two are marked Germany. The big one is stainless and marked Japan. I owe it more research
That'd cause I was having a stroke. Two are marked Germany. The big one is marked Spain. This is what threw me off. I was under the impression Puma were originally made in Germany, and then they shipped components (their cheaper knives) to China and Spain, but I never heard of a Japan one.
That makes sense! That'd cause I was having a stroke. Two are marked Germany. The big one is marked Spain.
You would likely do good on ebay. I had a vintage puma filet knife that I got real good money for several years ago., before the fees got so bad.I need to find a venue to sell them on. I hate Ebay. There are several Puma Facebook pages, guess I'll do that.
