It was some years ago but my pa nics was about 10 minutesWell that kinda ruined my day,, I was just gonna pop in for 10 minutes and if one of 2-3 rifles "felt right" in my hands I was gonna fill out the paper work and take it with me.

1972 guns are somewhat modernDoes that help with modern firearms?
Well, the discounts might. I picked up a 14.5" SOCOM upper at a nice discount, but that was parts, not the whole firearm.Does that help with modern firearms?
I'm trying to make my mind up over a few Henry 45-70s,, .44M and Marlin 45-70,, I'll know which one when it's in my hands.1972 guns are somewhat modern
Well, somewhat, if they are manufactured in 1972 or earlier.Does that help with modern firearms?
not gonna help me, looking at Henry's and Ruger-MarlinsWell, somewhat, if they are manufactured in 1972 or earlier.
Don't let it stop you from trying. I have never been delayed in PA. It's always been as fast as MD for me, and really doesn't take any longer than the rest of the payment/paperwork. Some folks are just unlucky.Well that kinda ruined my day,, I was just gonna pop in for 10 minutes and if one of 2-3 rifles "felt right" in my hands I was gonna fill out the paper work and take it with me.
I am headed to a neighboring state, While there I am stopping at a gun store that has a Lever action rifle that I am interested in.
The owner of the store told me on the phone that he would sell to a MD resident.
Am I breaking any MD laws purchasing a long gun out of state, In person, not a transfer.
Thanks for any opinions
Been this way for 54 years now .And this used to be the land of the free..."please Mr. Government, can I exercise my rights as a freeman?" Pretty sad that we've come to this.
Presumably that was a replica of a Winxhester M1873 Rifle , not a replica of Colt M1873 Revolver ?I bought a .45 colt 1873 model in Tennessee (Franklin Gun Store) way back when and brought it here, no problem.

OTOH , if it were an original Colt M1873 Revolver purchased w/o paperwork because it was pre 1899 Antique , Pictures please !
Arg , can't seem to quote from posts on two different pages .1972 guns are somewhat modern

Been much, much longer than that. During and after the civil war was a major thrust by the Federals to strip power from the states and undermine our civil rights. Northern aggression as usual.Been this way for 54 years now .

Check out Genesis Firearms they are an IP here:A little off topic but does anyone know of NoVA stores that are open to transferring pistols to my local MD FFL? I’d pay the shipping of course.
I feel like a criminal / time waster asking them, so I’d rather know ahead of time if they do it. If it’s frowned upon, I wouldn’t even bother browsing / asking.
