I've messed with one of the PWS uppers, it's a decent system in that it's easier than others to break down, and the gas rod is attached to the carrier. The person that brought the upper to me was having problems cycling, but it stemmed from the use of an H3 buffer. The PWS has 2 settings, one for normal use and one for use with a suppressor. For the price, the PWS isn't bad, not much more than similarly equipped DI AR-15 rifles.

I think the LWRC piston-driven ARs are the pinnacle of this new craze, as far as I'm concerned. I haven't seen the HK416/MR556 yet, but the cost of that is so prohibitively expensive I can't get it myself lol.

    Wouldn't the MK114 need a stamp 'cause it's not 16"?

You can have a 14.5 barrel as long as you have a flash hider/comp that is pinned/welded and that flash hider/comp brings the overall length to 16 or more inches. It appears this rifle has just that so no stamp for this.
