Question: Mini 14 Optics and Other

So awhile back this year, or late last year at one of the shows, I purchased a Mini 14 from Shooters. Love the rifle, but not super familiar with the platform. The serial number started with 197, so it is apparently abit older which is fine, I just don't know:

1. what type of mount will work to put a 1913 rail on the rifle for optics
2. Is it possible to use the ArchAngle system by promag.

I know sounds like pretty rudimentary questions, but just trying to make sure I don't screw up the rifle.

You cannot use the Archangel Mini 14 Stock by Promag unless it is a Ranch rifle .

I have an older mini that I have changed up a bit seraill starts 182-, with archangel on it, I found a detachable mount made by Eagle International that has worked well.

I should have been more specific , the Archangel / Promag Sparta stock with the full rail on top will not work unless it is a ranch rifle . The ranch ejects at more of a angle then the regular mini14 . The regular mini cases will hit the rail and jam the ranch will not . This is all stated on the website

I just bought a NEW Mini14 3 weeks ago. It came with a set of 1" weaver rings that clamped directly on to receiver. More important, it also came with a picatinny rail that screwed directly into the pre-tapped holes in the receiver. If your older model has pre-tapped holes, check with Ruger for the rail. I mounted a Leupold tactical scope on it. I'm going to MSAR Monday to do a preliminary sight-in at 50 yds.

I used the regular Ruger rings for mine.
