No, pretty sure they were just locking in votes.
Doug Mayer, a spokesman for Hogan, said senators who voted for the override were ignoring the wishes of Maryland residents.
"Today, twenty-nine people in the Maryland Senate decided to ignore reason and common sense and support an action that the vast majority of Marylanders vehemently oppose,"
This one is worthy of a Referendum.
And the next thing I see in the news is a possible lawsuit about the current state senator who was the final necessary vote ... also voted as a state delegate.
Is probably legal ... but in the world of divisive politics, its worth a lawsuit or at least the threat of a lawsuit.
I learned today that convicted felons could already vote in Maryland AFTER serving their sentence. This new bill allows them vote while still on parole.
Just Dems trying to get more votes. Simple as that.
