Trolled the search function for a bit and couldn't find what I needed, so I'll post it here. I've recently acquired a 1938 Model 12 that I'm turning into a trench gun. I've managed to track down all the bit's and pieces I'll need to do so, save for one thing; the rear sling swivel. Anybody here have a model 12 trench gun, or even a model '97 for that matter? I wouldn't think they'd change up something as small as the size of the rear swivel. I just need to know if the sling swivel measures 1 1/4 or 1 3/8 inches long.
The only reason I'm going this route with this shotgun is due to the previous owner having ported the barrel...and said porting not necessarily being even. The offending section of barrel has already been cut off, so the deed is done.
