I might be moving to TX for year doing a contracting gig. Now you can go to gun shows down there and buy weapons pretty easily (oftentimes without even showing ID). But if I did so, what are the rules for returning to MD with those firearms? Unregulated rifles/shotguns won't be a problem I would guess, but what about a pistol? Would I simply drop it off at an FFL when I returned, and file some paperwork (assuming the gun is on the permitted list)? Am I even permitted to do this if I retain my MD drivers license and residence in MD? If I have to have the gun shipped to an FFL in MD, come back and fill out the paperwork, then come back again to pickup the gun....I won't be buying any pistols in TX. :D

Thanks in advance for any input.
