I got some range time with my .223 today and was really impressed. With no inserts the LOP is perfect for me and the factory comb gives me a perfect cheek weld. The magazine fed smoothly and locked up very crisp. Loading the bipod showed no flex whatsoever. What impresses me are the little things, like the thumb ledge and the M-lok locations. I'm seriously debating ditching my H-S Precision on my other R700 and going to the Magpul. Also I saw no POI shift from the original stock and groups shrunk a few 1/10's. Also I'm using AICS .223 polymer mags in mine and they are flawless so far, since Magpul sonly making .308 mags. I took off the bipod and shot off the bags for the last few groups and nothing changed.

With the bipod mount. Did you put a swivel stud in or use the m lok rail on the bottom?

Mlok with the aluminum Magpul rail and attaches to a Harris/Adm quick release mount. I set up all my rifles with bottom rails so I can easily switch bi-pods.

The AICS mags I have are plastic and single stack 10 rounders.

Ok good to know. I wasn't sure if the double stack .223 mags would fit because the bottom mag adapter could house single stack .308 mags. I would have thought the single stack .308 mags would be the same width as the double stack .223 magazine.
