I have been asked to conduct an RSO class for my club. I am searching for additional people who would be interested in taking the Range Safety Officer NRA Training. This will be an official NRA Class.

The class would be held in Frederick and would be during the week in the evenings. We could get the class done in two evening.

Cost would be mininmal... Cost of material and small fee for use of club resources. I am not making a profit off of teaching the class.

Class would happen before the middle of October.

I will posted dates as soon as possible.

    Who is interested?

I am interested. My schedule is a little wacky, but depending upon the date, I'm in.

I'm interested too, but I can't make it out to Frederick in the evenings. Thanks for posting this info, looks like a few guys are already interested.

i'd be willing to pay a "minimal" fee just for the experience.. or is this not entry level? what are the requirements? do i need previous experience?

i just wanna be on the 'up and up' concerning range safety and etiquette.

I'm interested also, contingent on dates and times. I recently took rifle instructor training to train my Boy Scout troop.

This is entry level. No experience necessary. If you have been to a range before or want to go to a range you can benefit from this class.

The class teaches best practices for running and day to day operations of the range. It teach how to handle emergencies and work with shooters in a safe manor.

Damn, bit far for St Mary's county...If you or anyone ever does one within an hour of PAX, I'd like to get the NRA cert too. Already have a couple military RSO and SAMI certs, but they aren't NRA.
