SP4 Joel Davis brought home this FN M1905 pistol from Vietnam. He passed in 2003 and his family recently decided to sell his war trophy. I was happy to acquire this rare piece for my collection. Family told the seller he got it off a dead NVA officer which is a common story associated with bring backs. The family is OK with me talking to them. I hope to do that soon. I wish I had known about this one before my Vietnam war trophy book was finished as it would have been a great addition to it.

    That's a very interesting bring-back!
Glad all the paperwork was preserved, that makes it rock-solid.
Must have been a high-ranking NVA officer - the higher the rank, the smaller the pistol LOL.
