    FREEEEEE AT LAST!!!
was a good day today, Mike and I made it up for our first match w/ the Reade Range guys.... they run a different format than what we're used to seeing.

NRA Rules, no coaching, a little stricter format

1000yds, unlimited sighters, 20 rds for record, 30 min

1000yds, unlimited sighters, 20 rds for record, 30 min

    1000yds, 2 sighters, 20 rds for record, 22 min.

They ran Palma, F Class (open & t/r), and some other stuff we havent seen....

Weather started off great there, lightly overcast, calm winds, heated up towards the end of the day and mirage was absolutely crazy, my target was dancing out there.

Mike and i were joking around all day goofing off talking junk wishing Terry and Scott were there to get our jokes.

Well goofing off proved to throw the other shoters off their game and somehow i came away w/ the Win in F Class :D:D, even beating the open guys. Mike finished a few points behind, but it was a really close match w/ about 15 total in F Class and about 15 in the 'other prone and palma classes'

There was some guy there from the state palma team... well i shouldn't say state bc he's from out of state.... but he was tearing it up.

Reade is a haul, but for one match a month its worth the hike from here, fees were 15 bucks and you have to do pit time.

That's a long haul to shoot.

Reade isn't that far, is 200 miles from me and about 160ish from Mike's house. I stopped over in the early AM and we carpooled up (got there an hour early, no traffic). It was definitely an all day affair, and the range alone is worth going up once a month or so. I'm contemplating getting the membership, its only 40 bucks and i could take off up there on my weird days off.

Scores are posted, the webmaster posted all three relays online, the first two counted for record and the third was used for coaching practice for the 'state team' so it didnt go for Record.
