You will have to order an ASR mount in the thread pitch you require. Or get a direct thread mount. The adavantage to the ASR is easy removals, the expensive part is you will need a mount for each host.
Either way, you will have time to order them while you wait for the stamp. Don't forget the end cap.

I would be real careful using that thread converter.
I would not use it on my $1k can. If it was off by a thousands or 2, you are setting yourself up for baffle strike.

Thanks again. I'm reading the exact same thing you're saying on another site as well. I guess now I gotta look for an ASR Mount in each thread like you said.

Looks like this will take care of two of the threads, for another couple hundred bucks.

Unfortunately, looks like an adapter is the only option for the AK platform as of now. I'll probably go with Griffin since it's what appears on SilencerShop's website.

And then I'll have to get an ASR Mount for 5/8x24.

You really should get a mount per host and use rockset to mount them. They will loosen while shooting. You will have a hell of a time trying to get a stuck ASR mount out of the can if it is not on a host.

I was using a Griffin adapter for 5/8x24 on my Dissent for a Obsidian 9. They are well made and Griffin gives veterans discounts.

I got an E-mail this morning from SilencerShop saying that they are giving a $100 gift card with the purchase of an Osprey 45 which is also a multipurpose can. I suppose the gift card can be used to purchase the necessary adapters.

Awesome. Glad to hear that personal experience. So you went Griffin Adapter and then a Muzzle Device Mount?
I had to use two pieces to connect the Obsidian to the Dissent.

There is nothing cheap about adapters and mounts for suppressors as they are machined, air gauged and NDI checked to insure concentrically( coaxiality) with the suppressor.

I bought an Omega 36M today. Now I wait. I had no clue getting into this that where would be so much to take into account. I just assumed you'd buy the right threaded silencer and it's be direct thread on but it's pretty interesting stuff.

Someone in another thread had a 30 cal Omega go flying down range recently, that he might be willing to part with.....

This is the one I ordered, for my M70 AKM. My slant-cut muzzle break, has a locking pin, so this should be perfect, for me.

Also, very important!! Make sure you check barrel to suppressor alignment, with a .30 cal. alignment rod. READ UP ON THIS… AK’s aren’t known to be the best hosts for suppressors. Misalignments is supposedly more common, and, they’re notoriously over gassed. Once you’re sure that alignment is true, this is supposed to help quash the ejection port pop and over gassing issues:

CONGRATULATIONS, by the way. The Omega 36 is very well reviewed

Thanks for the tips man. I have been doing a lot of reading and AK seems like a real pain to suppress. I probably should've just gone with Wolverine for the AK and then another can for everything else. Maybe I'll do that in the future.

I ended up going with a non-detent adapter because it had a lot of good feedback on Reddit and I saw a thread where a guy made the point that the detent pin is not a great way to hold an adapter and may not be torqued right if you do it that way. I dunno, it made sense to me.

Interestingly, if I ever decide to suppress my Zastava M90, that does have an adjustable gas block which will be great. I'll see how the AKP gas runs.

I also came across the concentricity issue as well. PSA AKPs have decent feedback on that issue, but I Engage has said they will help me check that for sure (that's where I bought the can).

I also can't help but feel like Suppressors are a huge scam all the way from the tax stamp to all the different accessories that you will need. I was just looking at more Omega info and they really can't include more than one end cap? And they really gotta charge $100 for another size end cap that's going to make like a 2-3 decibel difference according to the sources I've seen? And I think they don't even include a direct thread insert either? Seems pretty lame.

Nonetheless, I am excited about getting a suppressor for my favorite gun as of now and the prospect of using it for my 226 when I buy a threaded barrel and piston mount for that down the road.

Congratulations on purchasing an Omega 36M. It is a great suppressor. I bought the same suppressor through Engage Armaments in Rockville and they helped me figure out what adapters I needed for the various firearms that I was intending to use with the suppressor. I would have been completely lost without their help so the only advice I can give you is to talk to the FFL through whom you are purchasing the suppressor. They will tell you what you need.
