I would like some suggestions too. I'm on a bit of a budget but also understand the pay once mentality.

Recently picked up two kimbers. Think I'm going to scope one and leave the other with the irons, also looking for bipod or bag choices. Anyone sell used front or rear bags ?

Your on the right track with the T-36 for Benchrest. A lot of shooters are using the BKL mount,
