I would want more of a breach then a 1/4" bolt with a washer sitting on the rim of a 20 gauge shell.

It looks like there's no breech block/ bolt. Just a washer which catches the rim of the shell.

brass vs steel washer means you get brass and plastic shrapnel in your face.
