Had a busy week...picked up a few new items.

Got this new Colt Anaconda 4.25" .44 Magnum...super smooth action.

A sales guy at a nearby gun store called me and said they just got this in on consignment...a 1957 made Colt Single Action Army in .45 Colt. He thought it had never been fired but I showed him the powder rings on the cylinder face. It's a solid 98%-99% gun. Since I didn't have to have the revolver I made a lowball offer and to my surprise he accepted it.

This was an impulse buy. I was at Shooters Warehouse and saw it...a Pietta Great Western II Dead Man's Hand Model 1873 in 9mm. I figure that 9mm is much cheaper to shoot than .45 Colt plus it just looked so nice.

Went to a gun store about a half hour away...great little hole-in-the-wall kind of place and they always have neat stuff...I rarely go there without out finding something to walk out with...that why I don't go there often.

I found these two Virginian Dragoons...great, heavy duty revolvers in .44 Magnum...and very undervalued in the market. One is a 10.5" barreled IHMSA model and he other is a 6" barrel version. The only appreciable wear seems to be the grips on each. After a short negotiation I walked out with them.

    Nice finds!
I’ve always liked those revolvers……need to add one to my collection one day.

    That's a gorgeous little revolver. Don't think I've ever seen a 547 before.

This just arrived today. I’d been on a 9mm pistol kick for a while and realized I’d not bought a revolver in a while.

During my absence I picked up a couple of new revolvers...

Newly released Colt Python 2.5" and 5" barrel revolvers...
    2-5-Python-old-stocks.jpg

The 5" Python may be the best balanced Python ever...both in looks and feel...

    Here's all the new generation Python siblings together...2.5", 3", 4.25", 5" and 6"...

At some point I'll have to get all my Pythons in a family photo...something like a dozen now...or close to it...in various vintages, barrels lengths and finishes.

I recently bought a Smith & Wesson 547, and a Charter Arms Pitt Bull. Both are 9 MM and neither require moon clips. Nice shooters.
