Are all the RIA 1911's legal in Maryland? I can't "decipher" the MSP Handgun Roster.

All it says for RIA handguns permitted in the state are:

    Govt Cmdr OfMod

    and

    Hi-cap Government

    Any help would be appreciated.

I got one too. RIA 1911 Tactical. As far as whatever that bolded stuff means, Gov't may be the regular length, Commander is the 4", IIRC. In any case, I see them all the time, so it really shouldn't be a problem.

I have a RIA 1911 CS .45.... It is legal, affordable and suprisingly tight and accurrate. Well worth the $325 I paid for it on Gunbroker.com.....

nathanj looks great! mine came duracoated which i hate more than roaches. i had it done in manganese phosphate parkerizing and when i put it next to my friends WW2 1911 they were hard to tell apart by general look, minus trademarks, and wear. ill try and find the comparison photo

Man, parkerizing is fun and addictive as hell. The top of my Lee Progressive press kept getting surface rust. Parkerized it. Dad brought me an old rusty bayonet for my Garand. Parkerized it. Kid kept hanging around ...
