So I appear to have inherited one of these. However I’m trying to determine the year of manufacture to see if the handgun roster is in effect. Looking at the roster, if it’s after 1985 then I’m probably going to have to refuse it as there are only two Rossi handguns I see on the roster and it isn’t either one.

Calling Rossi doesn’t help as they only have serial numbers for the Taurus manufactured ones. Any idea where I could I lookup the serial number to verify the model and date?

I believe legit inheritance (eg, from the estate) trumps the handgun roster. (As do family gifts, IIRC.)
