I got interested in this gun in the last couple of weeks. I already have the rifle in 44 Mag and 357 Mag but found out that the 45LC can be reloaded to perform as well or better than the 44 Mag so I wanted to have one.
I called around and no one had one. I bought the others at Wal-Mart but they no longer seem to carry the guns. One of the small gun shops I called said that his distributer had told him that Rossi had a flood and decided not to make the gun anymore after they started up again.
Just last week the "American Rifleman" show on the Outdoor Channel had an episode featuring the Taurus company and they were saying that they were still making the M92 right now. So I don't know what's the truth about it.
Anyway...I stopped at a store called "Guns Unlimited" in Omaha, Ne. and they were very busy. I waited around about a half an hour before I was able to talk to a salesman and ask him if they had a Rossi in 45LC there.
To my surprise- they did! I didn't hesitate and told him I wanted it. About 20 minutes later I walked out the door with it.
I loaded some brass with the only load I had data and the right gunpowder/bullets etc. for- 255 grain Hornady "Cowboy" bullets and Win 231 powder. I took it to the range and it shot OK. I have to adjust the rear sight.
No problems with the action or anything to report.
Comments welcome...
