Recent 10/22's have a slight issue with the button safety (the thing you put in the mid position to wiggle the stock off). It happened to me - the button can "rotate" and block the trigger, even when in the "fire" position. Take the stock off and use your fingers to look in and rotate the safety button til it's in the right position and the trigger will work properly.
