Ruger LC9 and Springfield XD SC 9mm

Buying a new pistol soon. I've shot both and like both, but have no deciding factor...

Any opinions?

Apples to oranges imo. The Springfield is a double stack, LC9 single stack. The XD could also be used as a range gun/home defense weapon while the LC9 is pretty much for carry duty.

what he said, the Ruger would be more concealable as a carry weapon, with the oblivious trade off in capacity and shooting comfort. I've shot the Springfield and for me it's a little too thick for concealed carry.

LC9 for carry, XD for range/home.

Personally I'd take a Ruger, since the XD is actually Croatian-built, and there's just been too many horror stories about the striker system on the XD's to ease my mind. May not be as much of an issue now, but I'm still wary of them.

xds are fantastic pistols and for the money I wouldn't pick anything else. Actually believe they stack up nicely against more expensive pistols as well.

I like the LC9. It is almost as easy to conceal as the LCP.
