    They need to establish a validation process not unlike software validation. In software validation you pretty much do everything to break the sw to ensure certain steps do not lock up or crash software or produce unintended consequences. A firearm is a lot simpler than software with its million of lines of code. You would think the steps leading up to this would have been caught earlier.

    I have the usual number of guns:lol: Never once did I put the safety halfway on and see if it would go bang, but then again, there ain't no cure for stupid.

    And validated software still has bugs, and especially intermittent ones.

    It sounds like this does not effect all of them, but they will put into place a modification to make sure it does not happen at all.
