Been wanting one of these for a while now but always seem to miss the good ones, get outbid at the last minute, or they are wanting too much $$$ for what they have. Granted, Ive not seen this box variation but $4,000?! OMG
I think he is selling the box more than the gun.... sigh

The loading gate is there. From 1955-57 they were "Flat-gates" they then upgraded them to round colt style gates. The flat gates carry more collector value, and the tri-color flat gate Single Sixes are worth a butt-load!

I got one in the classifieds now but it's not a tri-color

I believe it is an old "flat gate". It is there.

Thanks for the correction guys, I can see it now, but at first it looked like a void.
