Hae a ruger (old) vaquero in .45 and the ejector housing screw keeps backing out. Already had it come out completely shooting the rod, spring and housing all over. Any ideas on what to use to keep it gripping tighter and not backing out?

    Loc-Tite FTW

That stuff works wonders, from guns to cars to anything that has threads or can be screwed into/onto something, there's a Loc-Tite to hold it. There are different strengths from small appliance to large industrial applications.

If you use lock tite, I would suggest using blue. Red is quite permanent.

By all accounts, both come apart with a soldering iron applied to the screw , but starting with blue and only using red as a last resort is the way to go. Having a soldering iron if you need to undo things is also sound advice (I picked up a cheap one at Radio Shack for that purpose myself).

Either way, make sure the screws and holes you're working on are clean and degreased beforehand.
