Currently waiting to pick this up and I want to change out the rubber grips to wooden. Figured I shop for grips while I wait.

Does anyone know for sure if this model is a "round butt or square butt"? Need to know to order the right grips and since its not currently in my possession I can't remove the grips to confirm. From the looks of it I would assume round butt.

After doing some reading it seems K frame 617's made from the mid 90's should have a round butt frame. Is this accurate?

Assuming it is new -6 it should be round. I put Altamonts boot grips on my 686 plus deluxe.

Its new, just not sure when it was made. Fairly certain the LGS has had it for a bit.
