I'm no AK purist if these pix offend you, then tuff shite. I really didn't like the stock configuration of the Saiga Sporter Rifle. So I checked out the options, sniper? nah, no glass medium range? YEP, that's the way I'm going.

This isn't quite finished, just the final put together before I get the last parts I have ordered.

As an AK purist I love your conversion work . If I were ever to get a .308 Saiga id love for you to do the conversion for me since I am not good with my hands when it come to this stuff.

i've been rolling the idea around for a few years that i'd like to build a saiganov starting with a saiga .308 20". If I do that I could maybe sell the PSL to something willing to tinker with it and get it fixed.

Yep, it was easy except for the carving of the furniture, yuck, there's just no wood parts for a Saiga.

Love the wood.

The wood is surplus Bulgarian from APEX $25.00, stripped, sanded, and restained with black. The forearm had to be refitted with my Dremel for the .308 barrel. That was the biggest time consumer, the rest was easy.
