From what I hear it takes about $20 of parts and watching a "how to" YouTube video to get it to accept standard AK mags. I'm no expert on AKs, though, so I'll let those more knowledgable chime in.

Needs the magazine catch filed down to accept a mil-surp mags and needs a bullet guide installed to feed reliably. Check my sig. Not at all hard to convert. I converted mine in a span of two days.

Easy to convert to PG and accept military mags. It's the same Russian-made base rifle that Arsenal used to create their SGL series.

However, if you want a full conversion done to Arsenal's level of quality, expect to spend a lot more than $20 on it.

This is exactly why I headed on over to EE and just picked up an unfired SGL. I'm not really an AK guy but tell me I can't have one...

Anyway, no matter how I crunched the numbers the SGL was cheaper.

It's not really single stack, it's just missing the ramp. You can get 30rd "Saiga mags" that will work just fine.
