They went the New York route.
Yup, and NJ too. That presumptive ban on carry on private property was struck down in 2 NY cases and in two NJ case. The NY decisions are now on appeal and that appeal was argued March 20 in the 2d Circuit

I'm kind of surprised they went all in after it didn't pan out (so far) in NY and NJ. They certainly want a carry ban, but my impression is there are some people in Annapolis and legislatures in general that dislike getting embarrassed in court more than pulling back a little bit on the restrictions they'd like.

Not sure if the Maryland Dem caucus does exactly what leadership wants or if leadership always does what a majority of the caucus wants even if it thinks it's not a great idea.

US House Republican caucus would only bring bills to the floor if a majority of its members supported it.

Nope it is not still true. It was true under the Senate version. The House changed it to a presumptive ban on any carry into a privately owned building (not grounds), and the Senate accepted that change and that how it was enacted.
Does parking in casino garage maryland live with gun on lock container legal?

That's sorta a gray area. The House amendment says "building" as distinguished from a parking lot or grounds. Is a garage a building? Well sure, but, who knows for sure. Uncharted

Probably. Hard to know for sure. This is the exception from the bans:
    (11) A FIREARM THAT IS CARRIED OR TRANSPORTED IN A MOTOR VEHICLE IF THE FIREARM IS:
    (I) LOCKED IN A CONTAINER; OR
(II) A HANDGUN WORN, CARRIED, OR TRANSPORTED IN COMPLIANCE WITH ANY LIMITATIONS IMPOSED UNDER § 5-307 OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY ARTICLE, BY A PERSON TO WHOM A PERMIT TO WEAR, CARRY, OR TRANSPORT THE HANDGUN HAS BEEN ISSUED UNDER TITLE 5, SUBTITLE 3 OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY ARTICLE”.

I hate to seem like a Cliche . but in this instance, it's come true .

The Forces of Evil really , really , really Hate the current SCOTUS . including but not limited to Bruen . They really think it is destroying their version of progress , and it's their duty to resist , lest we slide into the dark ages .

Getting smacked down is a Badge of Honor they're on the right track , doing the right thing , not something to be embarrassed over .
