This represents a BIG CRY BABY

“And we have to address the ease in which people are able to get firearms because we know how much that is impacting the basic freedoms of every single Marylander, and that is something that is not going to stand as long as I’m the governor,” Moore said.

Is Moore promising to step down if the courts strike SB1?

Please refresh my memory. It has been a long time since my Civics class. When did a State Governor get the authority to overturn the US Supreme Court?
It’s in the new md civics books. Any commie leftist demo-rat in md had authority over any and all branches of government and the peasantry that they disagree with

This is especially true of the indoctrination specialists, leftist teachers, in the public indoctrination centers (schools)

Just ask any of them, they will tell you

The Moore quote in the Wtop article above states that “we are going through and checking on the constitutionally first” but he plans to sign

Well, then his plan to sign should be aborted.

Actually, when he properly researches this, he should veto it because if he just refuses to sign it, it becomes law.

So, governor, do the right thing and veto it.

“We’re going through and checking on the constitutionality now, but, yes, I plan on signing them soon,” Moore, a Democrat, said.

    ….

Mark Pennak, president of Maryland Shall Issue, said he planned a swift challenge to the measure that spells out particular areas where handguns would be banned.

“We’ll be challenging SB1 almost immediately after it’s signed,” Pennak said of the bill.

    Here we go…

That picture looks like he's pulling a Biden...

The ironic thing is that every unconstitutional statute that gets struck down adds further state and federal case law that the inferior courts are bound to follow whether the judge personally agrees or not. If they would just issue the permits and stay quiet until the composition of SCOTUS changes, there is a possibility that the Bruin decision *could* be watered down by future courts. I guess playing the long game does not align with their need to gather votes in the next election.

Never underestimate the willingness of True Believers to engage in ultimately self-defeating and/or self-destructive behaviors.

We need to arrange a bunch of "shoppers" to all go in there open carrying every saturday until oct 1st. Yes you maybe asked to leave, but it would be fun to inform them that their sign means nothing. I figure if we could get 1 guy or gal every hour every saturday, they may stop even trying.

even better if the shoppers had a brand new set of clubs in their cart that they looked at the manager and went " Ok I am leaving so can you please put this back for me " and walk out. Make the manager feel like he is loosing many thousands of dollars every weekend

I agree with your sentiment. The fundamental challenge with successful concealed carry is that we are anonymous and therefore invisible to the public. The business community assumes their customers are comprised of whomever is the most shrill. I firmly believe that business prefer not to take a side in political issues and just want to sell their goods and services. An alternate course of action is to have a business card printed up that reads "your sign banning my constitutional rights in your store has cost you my business today" The challenge is it takes a bit of work to ensure the card gets into the hands of the person able to make those decisions.

Just ask for the manager or owner and give it to them. DONE!

Does the bill give the signs force of law against all?

I still think these things don’t pass without the use of their carve out tool.
