Ok I am changing barrles on my .260 AR. I am going from a standard weight barrel to a heavy barrel.

Well I need a new gas block for a .936 barrel. I want a pretty plain one with just a rail for a site. Just a little confused on all the choices.

You ask a very general question but:

If your hand guard is a small dia. You need to check clearance. Not sure if you mean to mount a sight on the GB.

You did not say if your barrel is dimpled or not for set screws. My preference over a clamp-on. Dimpling the barrel is not hard; but easy and hard is relative...it depends on you skill set and tool kit. If you get GB that has to be pinned...I would go to a smith.

They come in aluminum (I do not recommend), steel and stainless. I have used steel and stainless.

You should not need an adjustable unless you want to run a silencer.

I have used Vltor and BCM with good results. I assume the gas block on the CMMG barrel is a CMMG but I don't have that upper running yet.
